I can confirm this problem on my Samsung NP350E7C with kernel
4.4.0.22-generic from 16.04LTS.
With kernel 4.6.0... from the mainline kernel-ppa link given above,
suspend works again.

I had the same problem (11.11), but powernap NOT installed. Installing
cpufrequtils fixed the problem for me. Now all CPUs are restarted

Cannot acknowledge. There are no messages in syslog anymore but the
disable-cpu hack is still neccessary for me. (fresh install of natty
with 270.41.06-0ubuntu1). Otherwise chrome get laggy again after resume.
The cpu-hack also fucks up virtualbox after resume. Meh :-(

I experienced the same slowdown issues after resume. Even with
2.6.36-020636-generic kernel and 260.19.26 (Maverick x86_64 on a
thinkpad t410 with GT218 [NVS 3100M]).

Correct, lirc version 0.8.6-0ubuntu4.1 breaks the module. I reverted to
0.8.6-0ubuntu4 and everything back to normal (no source install, though)

This bug affects me, too. The bigger the window, the slower the tab
change. This is also true for maximizing the window.
During this the processor load rises and even music stops playing for a
few milliseconds!
It' s an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T8100 @ 2.10GHz

So 180.xx is really *beta* and not usable.
