Confirmed for 2.6.32-24-generic #39-Ubuntu SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux.
It does not occur in any 2.6.35 mainline kernel, and I did not notice
this bug when I tested .34 kernels. So I assume this has been taken care
of but the fix hasn't trickled down to -stable/ubuntu yet.

I can confirm that this annoying bug has been present for a while now
and is still present in 10.04 on my second generation macbook.
Booting into OSX fixes the issue. My guess is that something related to
suspend/resume triggers it, also the connection to the external power
supply might be of infl

For what it's worth, I experienced this problem just before this report
and almost imidiately after sending it. Since then I am working under
Ubuntu 2.6.27-11.27-generic and it hasn't occured yet.

Recently the following has started happening to me:
Suddenly the desktop stops taking any input. Strange thing is, I can
still move the cursor around with the touchpad, but clicking stuff
doesn't have any effect, neither by tapping oon the pad nor using the
hardware button. K
Hi, it doesn't fix it for me. Sending it to standby and resuming fixes
it as before.

proposed), some of them critical, but the download fails with 404. When
browsing the dir on archive.ubuntu.org, I can see that the packages are
