caused a pile of headaches until I checked my assumptions!
Interesting. Despite my longtime use of Ubuntu flavors, I'd barely gotten
used to the switch to Upstart! Ah, well. :)

Ok, so I took it upon myself to make some of the requested changes, as far as
my current ability and worktime allows:
* Cleared the trailing whitespace.
* Updated the nslcd.init patch to use init_is_upstart
However, while I can update a patch, I have no knowledge as yet on
