Its the same here. After a while the CPU usage increases, the log files
are gigantic, with repeated messages like:

I have no digicam at hand right now, but what I can say is, that the screen
blacks out right after the message: 'starting Gnome Display Manager...' but
also some steps before, the 'OK' is missing. I also tried it on an external
screen. The log of the nongraphical boot was too fast for me...
