and wake up is not functional at all.

I disagree, (at least on my machine - Thinkpad R51e) it still does not
work, I boot with radeon.modeset=1, and after pm-suspend I can't resume
- only black screen, no reaction, need unplug&plug battery to boot
again...

Now i have Ubuntu Karmic Koala (something between beta na RC) and the
bug is still here:( If you pause mplayer for several minutes, during it
playing flashing videos on youtube... and if you then unpause the
mplayer video the sound is broken.
I use only alsa.

It is much worse now - I think it is because last kernel update? If I
watch movie, after minutes/half an hour the sound breaks. I can't find
changelog, except of this:

I am attaching choppy sound.
It happened while I was playing music in Amarok and since this moment,
the sound is screwed everywhere. But, in mplayer (or totem) I can play
sounds OK, but if I pause it, instead of silence I heard this choppy
sound... strange. In Amarok (and others) I hear this chopp
Now I tried Kernel 2.6.30-rc7 (from PPA), after 2 days again the same
error.
One more thing: sometimes mplayer can play any sound OK (after the error
occurs), meanwhile others programs (mocp, banshee) have choppy sound.

I can confirm the problem, have X200M too (Thinkpad R51e) and with DRI
"off" in xorg.conf notebook suspend&resume correctly, without it, it

I have R51e Thinkpad too and I have the same problem. It happens
randomly, sometimes after hour, sometimes after pause in mplayer...
I have Jaunty and I tried new PulseAudio 0.9.15
(http://ppa.launchpad.net/themuso/ppa/ubuntu/), new alsa (1.0.20), I
tried uninstall Pulse, nothing helps...

Suspend worked in Debian, but there was no 3D acceleration (old xorg),
so I upgraded to xorg from unstable and suspend stopped to work.
So, I tried suspend on Ubuntu 8.10 with this in xorg:

I tried openSUSE 11.1 and pm-suspend works. pm-suspend in SUSE first
switch to console (chvt?) and then suspend... I tried it in Ubuntu and
it does not work.
