Fiesty Herd 5 on iMac G5 Rev C: Standard install CD suffers same symptoms as always: Requires video=ofonly, wierd colours in Ubuntu logo during boot, startup sound plays but screen remains black, fans alternate between loud and quiet. Will download alternate CD to try text install... -- iMac G5

After disabling GDM and booting into text mode the mouseemu process was still present and running at full CPU. The fans wound up to full again and did not go away even several minutes after killing the mouseemu process. The following messages are printed to the terminal before the text login appea
