I'm pretty sure the community communication channels and processes have
not changed drastically since this "bug" has started to show its face.
So there are only two possible explanations for the user
dissatisfaction:
1. This "bug" has been here for a long time and it just hasn't been noticed

Forgot to mention that the above binaries say that the preinstall script
fails but they still install successfully.

Downloaded the 256.53 driver from the Nvidia site and it seems to work.
This is a little easier to install then the scripts above:

I have the same problem with Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960
Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c). I have a Dell monitor and a
lcd monitor. Attached is a screenshot of how I want to monitors to work
and most of the time do work. But when I restart I can't drag windows
to the Dell monitor
Thanks for the Repo tip. I've installed the new package, now it's time
to hurry up and wait.
