I am also seeing the same issue as in Comment #2, on a Dell Mini 1018,
Del BIOS v.A02. Have any patches or bugfixes for this issue been
released? This is not new, has been reported many times, and should be
addressed by now I would think

I have the same issue using a Logitech MX1100 mouse on clean install of
Ubuntu 9.10, re-re-retired Dell Dimension 2400. Found a workaround, but
no fix: when the mouse stops responding (usually after switching back to
the KVM port the Linux box is connected to), I power the mouse off using
the switc
