The attached patch fixes the problem. I assume the problem has to do
with a changed behavior of cmake, but I don't know a thing about cmake
so I don't know how to devise a proper fix.
The patch hardwires the value of SYSCONF_INSTALL_DIR to "/etc" in the
file cmake/Modules/DefineInstallationPaths.c
The strange thing is that a bit before the line I quoted above, the
build is invoked by:
cd obj-x86_64-linux-gnu && cmake /build/mok-

I used to do some work on the xtide package, as I remember I added an
icon and at desktop file and stuff like that. Those changes resulted in
a -0ubuntu* version, but those changes were quickly adopted by the DM,
and in subsequent releases we just sync'ed xtide. I don't understand why

wasn't. So, the buggy behaviour of the default karmic version was

The "proposed" version of gurlchecker still has the partly french menu
titles, but the application seems to accept an URL and it runs the

is "Aide". Tried to put in an URL, which made the application crash.

Please explain why it is necessary to maintain a separate ubuntu branch
of this package. AFAICT the only difference is that the ubuntu version
depends on automake1.10 instead of automake. The unaltered Debian

Sorry, but I don't get the point. How will this solve the problem of
different md5sums of the two tarballs? I have:
7109f593dd9c25a9ac89478dc83a8421 DEBIAN/texmaker_1.9.1.orig.tar.gz
6fae3fd867d5423915d3a300d8211d44 UBUNTU/texmaker_1.9.1.orig.tar.gz
so obviously they are different. Why not just
