* Go to Text Entry and remove the keyboard change shortcut and uncheck Show
current input source in the menu bar
* Go to Language Support and set the Keyboard Input Method System to none
* Open a terminal and do a sudo dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration

I find that my old Alt+Shift combination is still working when the mouse
is over the gnome top bar. Even if the setting is to have a single
layout for all windows, the change does not reflect the actual chosen
input language.

I apologize for cross posting, I commented in the wrong (duplicate) bug
and I cannot see a way to delete my comment.
Here's a workaround: After the first alert pops up, before dismissing
it, press Alt+F2 and type xclip -selection clipboard blank
This way you don't have to completely shut down ink
I solved this problem with a small ext2 boot partition at the beginning
of the drive

Comment #24 combined with commenting out the lines in #29 makes the menu
show, but as I do have only Ubuntu on this machine, there's no need for
the menu. I'd just like the error to go away. Anyway I can live with it.
In my case it is also accompanied with:

I cannot check what version I was running, but I just now reproduced
the issue on an installation with 3.8.10 and 3.8.14, I will update and
report again.
It happens only with autohide launcher, and I have been able to
