I am also affected by this bug. When I suspend my Lenovo X61 by closing
the lid and opening it again, the notebook will immediately suspend
after resuming. If I send it to sleep via the power-off menu and then
close the lid, it resumes normally. I also tried with debian testing

I actually had it fixed already and didn't want to fetch that Debian package.
And I hope this will help people looking for a simple solution for the problems
I had.
The second point is that it's only a minor edit you could use for a new
package. I left the rest of the script completely unchange
I just edited my fixed hdapsd init script. Please find attached my most
recent version. It should be sufficient for anyone using the hdaps
daemon.

I almost became desperate during the last days looking for the reason for HDAPS
not working on Intrepid. I even recompiled my kernel several times. When I
realised that the problem was the init script, I almost baged my head against
the wall. I fixed it myself now and replaced the hdapsd binary
