I almost became desperate during the last days looking for the reason for HDAPS
not working on Intrepid. I even recompiled my kernel several times. When I
realised that the problem was the init script, I almost baged my head against
the wall. I fixed it myself now and replaced the hdapsd binary with a recent
one. If I had seen that bug report before I wouldn't have gone through hell ;-)
I really hope hdapsd will be updated in the future since the HDAPS protection
interface will be in mainline kernel 2.6.28 which will cease the need for
manually patching and recompiling the Ubuntu kernel. It would be great to see
an updated package in Jaunty :-)

Thanks for your efforts and kind regards,

Martin
