Hello Leann, nice to hear from you. that was a while ago. I worked around the issue by rolling back to 2.6.24-19. Meanwhile, I have changed the machine to ubuntu (GNOME 2.26.1), running 9.04 jaunty with kernel 2.6.28-15. Sound sorted itself out with the system upgrade, no problems. Thanks and be
