Today I got tired of Synaptic, Update Manager, and GDebi not working
with going through a terminal window and using sudo. So I reintalled
Synaptic by launching sudo synaptic. After a reboot, all three apps
appear to be working properly. I am closing this bug.

There are updates today so I tried to use Update Manager with sudo. I
clicked the "Install Updates" button and then gksu opened and I entered
my password. Then the Download Progress window opened and just sat
there. My guess is it doesn't have the permission to save the files it

I am reopening this bug. I have had several occasions now were update-

privileges to finish. In all cases if I open terminal and perform the
same job using sudo the job finished successfully.

On a whim I reinstalled gksu and this seems to have fixed my problem.

[Intrepid] Kernal 2.6.27-11 low graphics mode
I can confirm this exact behavior as described in Manowar. I can sync

then bluetooth and close. Then I can sync once. I am grateful that I can
sync via bluetooth at all, but it would be nice to get it working
