Public bug reported:
After drag and dropping one or several favorite apps icons onto the panel to
add them as shortcuts, their respective buttons in gnome-main-menu keep relief.
These buttons usually get relief only on mouse over.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Make sure you have a few favorite apps in t
Marking as fixed, this seems to work fine now (feisty), no matter how
many times I try and how fast I hit "Esc" after clicking on the logout
applet.

Ok, there seems to be nothing wrong with the layout code itself, but the
"add to panel" dialog doesn't seem to be aware of the new font size fast
enough. I have just tried this:
1. Change the application font to 16
2. Open the "add to" dialog, the fonts are all mixed up
3. killall gnome-panel

This seems to depend on the kinds of applets (maybe internal applets).
However, the problem with horizontal lines overlapping the text doesn't
seem to appear on my system (screenshot attached). I'm investigating on
this, marking as in progress.

I agree, deleting the files directly while warning the user is by far
the best compromise, just like it is done on remote locations. It
removes all hidden stuff, is fast (no file transfer), clear (user can
just hit Cancel if he/she made a mistake).

Closing the bug: as mentionned earlier, setting the /apps/gksu/disable-

don't think this setting should make it further into the UI, and we
should rather concentrate on making it work on all pieces of hardware

I can confirm this. Having checked the "Enable accessible login"
checkbox that bstqc_ostl mentions, then Quit-->Switch user, it seems to
prepare to load the usual GDM greeter, but then immediately switches to
the password-protected dialog to return to the session I just quit.
