Additions based on the original reporters stay on #kubuntu: He tried
also with a back panel usb port, and it worked ok there. Attached is
his pastebinned dmesg from the time the camera was solidly attached to
the front panel port. Looks like a hw power problem in that specific
port to me, and not

It loaded fine in an earlier version of 2.6.20 (2.6.20-12, I'm pretty
sure, unsure about the later versions), but at least in 2.6.20-15 visor
module no longer loads when a device that needs it is plugged in.

This has now changed a bit for me: Now where I would expect there to be "Next"
button is "Version Upgrade" and when I press that, I get another window.
However that other window soon tells me there is no release announcement to be
found.
