I would also really like this. Is there a reason for not packaging the
newest version or is it that no one has gotten around to actually do it?

Sorry for spamming the comments but I just wanted to say that replacing
the icon with the one linked above makes the problem go away and
therefor fixes this bug.
The commands I used:
cd /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/
sudo mv chromium-browser.svg chromium-browser.svg.bak
sudo wget

At the link below someone seems to have converted the .ai (adobe svg-
like) file to svg, uploaded it to wikimedia and licensed it under BSD
/Creative-Commons-attribution-2.5. Maybe we can use this svg-file?

I can confirm that this bug is present on my MacBook Air (3,2). I do, as
described, only get the error when on busy networks (~250 nodes maybe,

Any progress on this one? I think that it would be very great to have
Komodo in the/a repository since I currently have to manually install
and update it.

I noticed this bug when I did a "Full export" of my ssh key on one of my
computers, moved the file (named-something.asc) to my other computer and
tried to import it. I got no error message so after a bit of googeling I
found this bugreport.
I solved my problem by copying over id_rsa and id_rsa.pub
I got my e1550 modem to work by installing the package "usb-modeswitch".
If I plug the modem to the computer while usb-modesiwtch is installed it
automatically works and I can use the wizard provided by the network-

Ehm, I'm not sure if this is the right bug but I experience the same
problem, installed compiz-gnome and now it almost works. It's only that
when compiz is enabled there is only one window-decorator-theme. I don't

I was experimenting a bit and edited "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-
packages/gwibber/actions.py" at line 38. Instead of using msg.text I
tried with msg['text'] since the error suggested that msg was of the
type 'dict'. To correctly fix this line one needs to change everything
on that line to:

If I'm not wrong, isn't kubuntu using package-kit and apt/dpkg? What's
preventing Ubuntu from doing the same?

It seems like this issue was fixed upstream in version 0.99.6 (2008-mar)
but the version used by Ubuntu (all versions, including current Lucid)
is only 0.99.5 (2007-sep). The easiest way to resolve this issue would
therefor be to bring Ubuntu up to date with the newer version.

I knew about the unrar package but I thought that the right thing to do
was to submit a bug since most users won't have a clue what to do. I
stand corrected and will submit this to Ubuntu Brainstorm instead; sorry
for the trouble.
