Ah sorry, I checked with the github version again on 5.4.0-40-generic
and it still happens. I'll update there too. I think it was better on
old kernel versions, i.e, it didn't bring the whole system down on
hibernate etc.

If the value of the menu and title bars scale is set to anything higher
than 1 on any resolution then all window titles become invisible unless
they are in the unity top bar. The bug takes immediate affect and is
also applied to every login.

This is still a bug in unity 7.4.0+16.04.20160801.2-0ubuntu1 but takes affect
immediately on any resolution.
With the scale for menu and title bars set to anything > 1 the text scaling
factor is increased and the title bars of windows disappear completely.

In FSL document for android platform, the following information is mentioned:

This backtrace was produced by attaching gdb to the nautilus process,
then dragging a file from the desktop into a tree-view nautilus window.
I ran gdb from a console, since this causes the X server (and my X
session) to reset.
I am using gnome WM.
