Usually after setting my Font preferences in GNOME
"System>Preferences>Font" the effect changes the firefox menus and text
display on screen to the same format as my gnome menus, however nothing
happens.

I am answering my own question it appears that edgy does not require the
command:

sudo nvidia-glx-config enable
Simply install the nvidia-glx library also make sure nvidia-kernel-
common is installed. After installation simply change the xorg.conf file
device section and change it to nvidi

I installing the beta version of edgy, I have noticed the apt.conf
usually found in /etc/apt/ directory is missing. This may have been done
due to the issues users where having on previous releases due to the
line: Acquire::http::Proxy "false".

and did a reinstall.

Dapper was fully updated as of the 23rd June, 06 when this issue was
