I am on Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS with libvirt-bin v1.3.1-1ubuntu10.15
When trying to hot add a NIC using virsh normally, it works.
However, if I try to add a --model virtio, I get the following error:
error: Failed to attach interface
error: internal error: unable to execute

uname -r --> 3.15.0-031500rc5-generic
Unfortunately, the issue remains the same as before.
How to proceed now with the bug?

thanks for the hint.
I updated successfully the BIOS from version 1.07 --> 1.08. Unfortunately, the
touchpad issue remains the same as it was with BIOS 1.07.
The command "sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s
bios-release-date" issued:

Dear Christopher,
until now, I thought Norbert and I share the same issue on the same netbook.
As you pointed out, when I compare both lscpi.txt I can see that some
lines differ. Roughly, I use some more kernel modules then Norbert does
and my graphic card is Radeon HD 7290 versus Radeon HD 6290 i
nce between your and my netbook. I hope
some other users in this launchpad bug report may update and report there
experiences here.

I tested now a few ...-desktop-amd64.iso as a live system:
- Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS: hangs during startup "(initframfs) unable to find a
medium containing a live file system"
- Ubuntu 11.04: hangs during startup showing the frozen Ubuntu start up splash
screen
- Ubuntu 11.10: no issu
