Hello Jim,
Thanks for all of the information.
You're right, I had the problem with the UEFI install. When I was about to
boot from the USB key, I had the choice of a regular USB or USB UEFI. After
reporting these errors I went back and installed with the regular USB
option. It worked and my syste

I had this problem too. It apparently occurs if you have the
MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME environment variable set (some apps need this, ex.
those that use the Java SWT browser widget). The kompozer startup script
looks for a run-mozilla.sh script in the directory specified by
MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME if it is set.
I agree the bug still exists, but there is not much that can be done by
the community - the driver is closed source so nvidia need to patch it
themselves. Unfortunately, nvidia seem to be ignoring bug reports on
this issue. If you have time, file a bug report with nvidia - perhaps if

@albech:
I have the same card and the same symptoms, especially with the firefox
scrolling, but the workaround works for me.
Depending on the driver you're using, or if you installed it with envy
or the restricted drivers manager, you need either "nvidia" or
"nvidia_new" as the driver name in nvi
Setting NVreg_RegistryDwords="PerfLevelSrc=0x3322" appears to deactivate
low-power mode when on AC power and enables it on batteries. This works
as a decent workaround for me - i get rid of blinks and hangs on AC
power while keeping reasonable battery life (at the expense of a chance
hang) on DC.

Installing ant 1.6.5 and setting eclipse-> Window-> Preferences-> Ant ->Ant
Home to the new path does not work.
Indeed, you shouldn't need to do this at all, considering that by default
eclipse points Ant Home to it's internal
version of ant (1.6.5) in /usr/lib/eclipse/plugins.

I was unable to replicate the gedit "save as" problem in 89189,

Tnx!
