I keep getting error messages about Ubuntu Package manager, whenever I
open or try to download and packages. This is really annoying, because,
it causes all other applications to just freeze up and stop working
(i.e., no response), so I need to either kill the processes or do

FYI, the three monitors I have are connected to both the laptop/dock and
a PC at the same time. I change the input source on each monitor to
change between the laptop and PC. This may not be relevant, but I
thought it would be worth mentioning.

Hi,
The window was partially visible on one screen, but did not re-position
when the screen was re-positioned. The windows title bar was not
visible, and as such the window could not be moved or re-positioned so
it could be used.

I can confirm that the "Executing "xset -dpms" at startup" workaround
fixes the issue for me. I don't believe the issue is with kscreen

However, I cannot boot into 18.04 at all. It is currently stalled out on
Installing open-vm-tools. After ~5 minutes it moved on to Starting

configuration" step. I can't click on anything or do anything inside the
VM.
I rebooted it and it came up with "Verifying the installation
configuration" again, and I was able to click the dropdown to see the

I have the same issue, only I'm running the 18.04 beta on Gnome.
I have yet to try the workaround.

that I can think of that I might have done in that general
vicinity were to install xinetd, althttpd, and stunnel4, and

I lied. I experimented with ./configure flags.
--with-kerberos5=/usr
is definitely the flag that is triggering the crash. Removing this
flag alone cures the crash.

these errors and Ubuntu 15.10 is also end-of-life July 2016.
Therefore we've decided to stop our testings as it seems to be a much

Turning down the RAID rebuild speed with the command "echo 1 >

Affects me too since about a week ago - I don't think it was a problem
before that.
Sometimes if I hammer about the keyboard starting with Super+S I can
eventually free it up without rebooting.
