The Deja-Dup icon has gone missing from the application's menu.
Searching for it does not yield any results via the gnome shell search.

Just got the latest linux-headers-3.8.0-18 update. After a restart Grub
launches, if I choose Ubuntu (its either that or a memory test) I get a

To clarify, there is no release date for Ubuntu Touch. It is currently
just a developer preview. I appreciate that development has begun and
that the interim releases are for this purpose (and all I have used
since coming to Ubuntu in '07), however the Friends App has replaced
Gwibber at the Beta2
Like I have said on other bugs related to this application, Friends is
for a UI not even considered for release just yet. This update to
Gwibber should have been held until at least post-raring. Messed up a
perfectly fine application.

in that, my workaround is choosing the standard Xorg drivers, then Skype
will launch and run fine. Using the Nvidia 304, 310 or 313 drivers will
cause Skype to crash when I try to start it. Is thus the same problem

Have restarted the computer several times now and that freeze/unfreeze

I have tried multiple time and have left the process running for several
hours trying to get the gbd process to run simultaneously but the whole
thing keeps freezing. I use the 'cont' command to move it along, but
eventually banshee --debug ends and there is 'no stack' for the 'bt
full' command.

stable. I have not had a freeze since purging the
ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3. The instability only comes when the
ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3 is added. So all I am sugg
@estimablesir (comment #187), I should have been clearer. After a fresh
install of Ubuntu I had added the Gnome 3 Team PPA
[ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3] to get updates for various Gnome packages that
were not ready for the 11.10 feature freeze. Gnome-Shell updates are
included in this PPA too, and while

doing that the desktop has never frozen. I am using Gnome-Shell with

I have been able to in the past and I know other users can scrobble the
shows I listen to, Last.fm does have a section dedicated to podcasts
(see: http://www.last.fm/tag/podcast?ac=podcast).

I ran Banshee with the banshee -debug command, played a mix of podcasts
and music. The music seems to scrobble almost straight away but nothing
happens with the podcast, but I am sure you can make more sense of this
then me.

Gnome Shell Randomly Restarts

While using the Gnome Shell environment in Ubuntu 11.10, Gnome Shell
will randomly restart (similar to the 'Alt+F2, then typing r behaviour).
I have noted other bugs that say that this occurs , but eventually the
desktop does not reload, I have not seen this behaviour occur as
As a workaround I have removed the old backup folder and now have Deja
Dup pointing to a different folder. The first backup was a full backup
and everything went fine. With the previous settings I had changed the
option of 'saving 6 months' to just saving the last 3 months. It was

Deja Dup keeps asking for password

The last 2 days whenever an automatic backup runs it asks me for my
password, which I input. The GUI then says 'preparing backup', before
asking for the password again. The password I am inputting is correct,
so I am not sure why the backup is not running

In the latest set of updates automute now works in Ubuntu 11.10 on this
system. This bug is no longer an issue.
