OK, I can confirm that I cannot reproduce the test cases on 11.04/natty
64bit with the updated package. I am also running the Mon-Keytest tool
on the new package to find crash/freeze bugs in the new package. So far

I understand that the Server for Australia is outside the iinet
freezone, so there is little benefit to iinet users in picking this
mirror over an international mirror. It would be much better to pick the
iinet mirror http://ftp.iinet.net.
I hit the same bug in Lucid and using the latest upstream (2.6.38) also
fixed the problem.
Interestingly, manually running "modprobe sky2" also seemed to fix the
problem for me, permanently (after reboot, it just worked. No need to
even run modprobe).

Every couple of days my screen goes blank.
* Typing or moving mouse does not bring back screen. (unlike screen saver)
* Screen can go blank while I am typing. (unlike screen saver)
* Does not affect external monitor, so I can use external monitor when the
laptop screen is
I note that I also get the problem reported by CandyGuitar. Some notes:

Adjusting Screen brightness (via FN-F6 and FN-F7) adjusts the brightness of the
backlight, but screen remains blank
Suspending
I get this in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS as well. It generally occurs when I pause
a track or switch to a different track. I have attached the requested
rhythmbox-debug.txt.
