Shouldn't this also be backported to Oneric? It is still a supported
version.

Re-opened the bug as the proposed fix doesn't fix the bug as reported.
The bug as reported was against lightdm + lightdm-gtk-greeter, not the
unity-greeter. The bug is still present when using lightdm-gtk-greeter.

The '==' is a bashism and not posix compliant. It should be 1 '='.
The fix is to just delete one of those equal signs. I'd submit a patch
but it is to trivial to be worth the effort.

Note that urxvt upstream has rejected the patch used here to fix this issue as
it is not a bug in urxvt but in the xserver.
I think it is a good-enough workaround for now (better than freezing), but once
this bug is fixed in the xserver, this workaround should be removed.

I use Dennis' vim7 backport extensively for programming, email and
general text editing. I have a fair number of scripts, macros and
plugins that all work fine. The spell checking and omni completion both
work great, as does every other older feature I use. I use it daily with
no problems.

They've been working fine for me. No problems.

Public bug reported:
In the ncurses-term package. All the xterm-*color terminfo entries have
the ^H key code for backspace while xterm has \177 (^?).
Eg.
$ infocmp xterm-256color xterm | grep kbs
kbs: '^H', '\177'.
I'm not sure why this inconsistency is there but it seems like a bug.
