Made sure everything is on/not muted and still no sound. Also tried
under a live session of Ubuntu 16.04 which detected the card, but still
came up with no sound.

When I go to load skencil nothing comes up. If I load it from a
terminal it tells me it is doing a core dump. Where would it store the
core dump file? I'll attach it if I can find it.
Thank you.

Appears the Installer is broken. It was written for version 4 of f-prot and
the website appears to list version 6 or greater. I suppose some changes have
taken place in the timeframe.

lastfm crashed when selecting artist/station
http
Hello,
I got it to work! I appears to have something to do with the KDE Sound
System. (In my case)
I went into System Settings and selected Sound System. Under the Auto-
Suspend I lowered the number down to 1 second for testing. After I did
that when I opened "Last.FM Player" it worked fine.
I can get Amarok to work with last.fm. Whenever I load up the "last.fm
player" package it displays the small window starts to connect to the
server and bombs. Sometimes it will allow me to search for an artist
and then when I select one it bombs on me.
Could it have anything to do with the KDE s
I have Kubuntu Feisty installed. In addition to the KDE that comes
installed I have installed the ubuntu-gnome desktop. I *AM* able to
listen to lastfm when I switch to Gnome. It appears not to work when I
log into my KDE desktop.
Hope this helps.
