I found the crash file and used:
ubuntu-bug —tag=1782404 /var/crash/_usr_bin_transcode.1000.crash
Than a pop-up ubuntu dialog asked I send the report - pressed OK and gone.
I trust it made it’s way to you and your team.
Incidentally, I found a partial workaround using:
transco

Thank you for the follow-up re this bug. Sorry for the lack of
information, I used apport to send off the bug info before I manually
opened a bug ticket on launchpad - so it may be in the wild :)
I checked on the virgin Ubuntu 18.04 system and "ffmpeg" package is not
installed, b

I installed a virgin Ubuntu 18.04 and re-ran the same Transcode scripts/tests -
same segfault.

options with and without video, using ffmpeg or
