I'm going to have to agree with sleon's comment that -11 does fix the
powernowd issue. Other issues in the -11 kernel prevent me from keeping it on
the system (Broadcom STA and fglrx drivers not working). As a result, I'll have

Using Ubuntu 8.10, kernel 2.6.27-9, system randomly hangs at powernowd.
Suspected corrupt powernowd package, so purged and reinstalled. Fault
continued. Noticed trace done just prior to powernowd starting when hang
up occu
