Well, there were certainly crashes - my work desktop has not been
enjoying Intrepid :-)
I did the same thing on my home desktop, and everything worked fine (I
had to remove the intrepid package of eclipse to get a newer upstream
for some mylyn/trac integration). On my work machine, removing eclips
I didn't get around to rebuilding the ubuntu sources yet, but upstream
definitely works without hal, and fails with hal. Upstream does list hal
support as experimental, so I guess they weren't lying!
Workarounds:
* rebuild from source without hal
* if you have bluetooth, you can do the hotsync o

Hi, I have the same problem with alpha6. I only just got this centro
today, so I don't know if it ever worked with gnome-pilot. I'm also
using usb cable.
'pilot-xfer --list -p usb:' works fine, and I've successfully sync'd the
device with Evolution using multisync0.90.
