[regression] lucid alpha-2 and earlier freeze upon suspend
I made it part of the suspend script ... just before suspend I unmount
the little SD card.

I used the unmount before suspend fix for the mini 9. It worked
immediately.

Can you point the way to the script ... I will see if the Dell Mini 9
gets fixed.

Thanks ... I will experiment with this if the problem reappears.

whether it was the installation of the other desktops after doing
kubuntu for the actual install.
Open to experimentation ... see if anyone else can duplicate the
solution. My machine now suspends just fine and it is a mini 9.

Simple solution
Don't use suspend anymore. The new distro boots so quick you might as
well always start with a boot.

Just wanted to report the the new .13 kernel works perfectly in the Dell

2.6.27.11 kernel breaks r8169 support for rtl8102e
https://bugs.launchpad.ne
I would recommend that this bug be fixed and the fix come through
updates as well as online for those who cannot do so.I would
recommend making it an official update because ...
1/ Nebooks represent at least 8 of 10 new laptop sales.
2/ The Mini 9 is already Dell and Ubuntu supported.
Ian.
Thanks for your help on this.

Here they are attached ... good luck with it.
I should explain that I am using the Wicd network manager rather than
the Ubuntu one. It was initially part of debugging to change the
network manager. Wicd is way easier and more powerful than the Gnome
version. Works great with Gnome
Thanks for confirming it. Until the kernel gets fixed I am keeping
both the install disk's kernel and the current updated one.If I am
trapped with only wired internet, I can just boot to the old kernel ...
everything is workable still.
