Etckeeper doesn't work out of the box on Ubuntu 14.10
The command etckeeper commit fails without any output.
The problem is that the script 50vcs-commit doesn't have execution
permissions.
Noticed in etckeeper at ubuntu 14.10

Probably it's a dup of bug #192868 however the files and the release are
not the same.
The issue is that the init script in karmic of argus-server sets as the

I wasn't able to fix the issue directly from updates. However if you
want to boot into something you can edit the boot parameters in grub:
"e" to edit
replace the boot parameters from ro to "rw init=/bin/bash"
and you'll be able to access a limited shell (no job control)
Since seems that some people got this issue fixed by some late night
update and I was still stuck w/o booting (no matter if I applied those
updates too) I've reinstalled my testing partition and upgrade all
pending updates.
Now the system boots fine (I still see those udev warnings from bug
#43065
I believe that this is the same as bug #430272 If you try to boot in
single you'll get stuck after scripts/init-bootom

I solved the issue some time ago but I hadn't got the chance to put some

I've tested the suggestion and patches from Jonathan Harker in my Ubuntu
9.04.
The server starts but I get a bunch of problems (ie bug #322964)
The only way I've managed to get it work in Ubuntu 9.04 is starting the
server with python2.5 and link:
ln -s /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/oldxml/_x
Finally, please include the list of pluggins/addons that you have
enabled.

Is the crash reproducible? If so can you describe in as much detail as possible
the steps to reproduce it.
Also if you manage to reproduce the crash, it would be nice if you have
previously installed the debug symbols package

Of course I meant the firefox debug symbol package from
http://ddebs.ubuntu.com/pool/main/f/firefox-3.0/ that matches your
installed version.
