I solved the issue some time ago but I hadn't got the chance to put some feedback
The issue got solved when I removed the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf file generated by alsa-base (which I'm attaching here). Indeed what I did was to purge (un-install) the alsa-base package as seems that now the sound is provided by pulseaudio. Hopefully in next upgrade this issue will be handler better :-) ** Attachment added: "alsa-base.conf" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/27338026/alsa-base.conf -- snd-intel8x0.ko Every boot hangs (times out) 3 minutes after upgrade to 9.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/374108 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
