If I kill gnome-software and restart it, the application is not present anymore

I used X11 more often lately and faced the same bug, so it is not
actually a Wayland only problem.
It seems the flash occurs only in the evening. So my guess is that the
bug is related to the Night Mode of Gnome that randomly deactivates
itself for one frame.

Because I did not want to leak any personal data in the crash files, I
reinstalled an Ubuntu 17.10 on another hard drive to have a fresh
generic installation and did the tests there before rebooting on my
regular installation.
There are two crash files, one for gnome-shell, the other one for
XWayl

nothing happens when I try to send the report:

I found the bug with my main computer which has an AMD gpu. I can
reproduce the bug with the PC I'm using to connect with SSH. I just need
to hold F11 down on Firefox. That PC has a nVidia gpu, so I guess the
problem is gpu vendor independent.

Same here. I cannot install VSCode. Ubuntu software opens the deb but

Maybe the solution should be to offer a setting to set the default
calculator in the system, in the same way you can set in
settings/details the default browser, mailer, calendar...

This is on Ubuntu 16.10 with EyeOfGnome 3.20.4
When displaying a jpeg image, the red channel is missing.
The preview pane shows the image correctly.
png images work fine.
I tested another image viewer (Shotwell viewer) and the jpeg image is
correctly displayed.

I tested 7.5.0+16.10.20161112-0ubuntu1. The second login screen shows
for a short moment but then it disappears automatically after a fraction
of second and I am back in my session.

The ntfs partition is not mounted on boot. I expect the partition to be
mounted the first time when I click on the bookmark on Nautilus.
I tried with Nemo and got no issue for now.

Executables are now linked with the -pie option, which lead to a file
type that is nearly indistinguishable from a shared library. I learned
that this is an expected consequence.
The only difference is the presence of an 'interpreter' for executable
files, but nothing forbids a .so to have an 'int

I don't have a crash on Ubuntu 16.10 (Nautilus 3.20.3) but with 1000
files, the process is very slow, something like 1 to 5 seconds per file,
the CPU load is high, and at the end the summary popup says: 0 files
moved. The move succeeded though.
