Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: f-spot
I use to shoot RAW files with my Canon EOS 1000 D (*.cr2). When I
connect the camera to my computer (Ubuntu 9.04; F-Spot 0.5.0.3), the
F-Spot import dialog pops up showing a tiny thumbnail for each image on
the camera. But when I take the SD card o
I am having the same problem with Ubuntu Jaunty, F-Spot 0.5.0.3 and my
Canon EOS 1000 D. Until some weeks ago everything worked fine (I am
using F-Spot since Dapper!). Then suddenly a camera icon appeared on my
desktop after plugging in my camera. When I tried to import images from

I can confirm this, too. In intrepid f-spot imported to the configured
directory, since upgarde to jaunty it imports direcly into my home-
directory without any subdirectory-structure. I can change the import
directory in the import dialog, but f-spot does not remember that.

CD-rips begin with strange snare-like sound when inserting CD after login

I've tested it once again today with different CDs. It seems, that I can
play or rip a CD even if it is inserted after login. But it only works
with the first CD. After changing the CD, the noise appears again. The
noise also appears, if I do not really change the CD but only throw it
out and inser

I know, it sounds strange: When I boot up my PC with an inserted CD, I

no matter which software I use. But when I insert a CD after login, all
ripped files start with a strange snare-like sound at the be
