The touchpad/touchscreen is still problematic under 12.10. I will
provide apport dumps when I am able, but after fighting (and failing) to
get the OS installed and bootable at all today, it's going to have to

It is possible after all this time that upstream just changed the
behaviour for the worse, I suppose. When I originally reported this long
ago, I thought it was a simple backport type of thing, as there had been
a "working" third-party repository version
I can't speak for the RC or later because I don't currently have a
computer capable of running GNOME anymore, but as of about a week before
the RC the symptoms were definitely still present in Intrepid.

I do use Compiz, and it does seem to be the source of the problem. Using
fusion-icon to turn it off and test resizing, I didn't seem to notice
any problems.

I just did an upgrade/restart, and it's still present, but not quite as
straightforward as I initially described (I don't think it changed, just
my knowledge of it has). If you mouse all over the handle area and note
what triggers the drag cursor and what doesn't it may be more evident.

Confirmed by another user using a "macally" USB keyboard on a Dell tower
using a Dapper CD from Shipit. Works in BIOS, works post-install,
doesn't work in the menu for the LiveCD. This unfortunately makes the
LiveCD *near-useless* for me, as it's impossible to get a persistant
