Just to confirm, for me the problem is fixed if you have downloaded the
latest ISO version 16.04.2, installed the operating system, then once
installed you MUST manually run the Software Updater & do all the
updates & reboot. Unfortunately ticking the box during the installation

I just noticed today that on my Ubuntu 16.10 machine the problem doesn't
exist... Might try installing the pre-release of 16.04.2 which has
kernel 4.8 to see if that makes any difference. Or maybe installing the
network manager from 16.10.

My show Username under Accounts isn't enabled or whether I tick / untick

the same issue. I enabled the precise-proposed, updated & rebooted which

My daughter is running 12.04 64 bit & it picks up CD info no worries.
Unless it's to do with installing 12.04 from beta 2? Maybe create a
bootable USB of release 12.04 64bit, boot off the USB then insert a CD &
see what Rhythmbox does as a suggestion??? Just wish correct the fault

Excuse my noobness but I didn't think you could use this because Ubuntu 11.10
uses the Unity panel which doesn't have / can't add the weather applet. I
thought you could only test it with the traditional gnome panel.

Just confirming. After recompiling the libgweather source with the patch
(weather-bom.c.patch), installed the deb package then moving the lib
files to the correct directory (From /usr/local/lib to /usr/lib), this

I haven't been able to find out where to change / modify lookup settings
either. It would be nice if some of this info was published (or directed

Hmm - for the past week I have been running Lucid (clean install from
alt-installer) with attached Genius G-pen 509 tablet attached and wizardpen
input driver.
The problem has not recurred for me in that time.
This is the same machine on which I observed the bug with Jaunty and my
tablet.

Will test this weekend (I'm not the original reporter though). I just need
to connect up my tablet to my lucid box and let the kids use it.

When changing desktop wallpaper from a standard image to the cosmos auto
changing wallpaper, the wallpaper isn't displayed correctly (See attachment
which shows the result). Changing the wallpaper back to either the original or
other wallpapers works fine. This occurs ONLY

Are they rolling out the fixes on UNR because my NB200 with Karmic UNR &
