Hah! I finally found it! It's one of the rt2x00 modules. Adding this
to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf:
blacklist rt2800pci
blacklist rt2800lib
blacklist rt2x00usb
blacklist rt2x00pci
blacklist rt2x00lib
Allows my laptop to successfully reboot, shutdown, hibernate and sleep.
