me, it was working fine that night several times in a row but the next
day I was still experiencing the problem.
To clarify my question, The /etc/default/acpi-support file states
network cards are automatically unloaded, how do
I also have this problem and the workaround that I am using is to add
the module to the "Modules" section in /etc/default/acpi-support. When
adding it I noticed the following note:

As I said before its not just vmmouse if I use virt-viewer to connect to
a vm that doesn't even have xorg installed and do a "ls -R /" I get 100%
CPU usage and the text scrolls at a snails pace. However if I ssh into
the vm and issue the same command it uses almost no CPU and scrolls very
fast like
After thinking about this some more, I am not convienced that it
actually is xserver-xorg-input-vmmouse. I also have a lucid JeOS guest
and the framebuffer moves painfully slow when text is scrolling if I
connect to it with virt-viewer, however if I ssh into it it runs at
normal speed. I dont have
/usr/bin/kvm -m 512 -smp 2 -hda /mnt/Storage/kvms/lucid-test.img

Did not realise I was working on a duplicate bug... either fix should
work, although the test would be testing the build servers python
version which would be 2.6 not the persons machine that the package gets
installed on unless they download the source and compile on their
computer.

Does it actually install a config file for you? On my system there was
no config and I had to make one myself. After I make one I can see the
tunnel with ifconfig and can ping it from my system but am unable to use
it to browse ipv6 sites in firefox. With tspc I had no problems.

I am still having the problem. I did a fresh install today and updated
the system. My screen flickers and it seems to only register keystrokes
half the time. I was able to boot in recovery mode and fight the
flickering to install any upgrades but after reboot I still have the
same problem.

This happens because noip2 is already running when it tries to upgrade it.
To fix stop noip2 then reinstall{{{
sudo /etc/init.d/noip2 stop
sudo apt-get install --reinstall noip2
}}}

noip2 makes an init.d script by default but it has an error. It is'nt
set to start at bootup in runlevel 2 (the default runlevel in Ubuntu)
A very good tool to change which services start and which dont in
different runlevels is sysv-rc-conf.
sudo apt-get install sysv-rc-conf
sudo sysv-rc-conf
