If it's fixed, then I should be able to connect. I've updated to stable
10.10, so I _should_ have the fix, right?
Also, I find it silly to open up a new issue for the same problem.

No, all the settings are correct (and as they are provided by Empathy).
This occurs on a fresh install of 10.10 as well.

Sorry about that, my desktop is running Maverick (so whichever version
of empathy is in the Maverick repos right now, I'm away so I can't

highly annoying and really needs to be fixed.

Bugs,
Been wondering why Flash has been crashing left and right for me in
Chromium (doesn't crash in Firefox). Finally Google returned this bug. I
can happily say that running it with XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 as stated
above solves the issue.

I started experiencing the problem a few minutes ago when I upgraded Plymouth
to 0.8.0~-9.
I removed it, rebooted, and it fixed the problem.
Good riddance, my boot-up is faster without it.

I am having the same issues.
I'm using a PCI adapter which uses the RT2860 chip (lsmod shows that the
rt2860sta module is being loaded). Just like Nicolas, it takes forever to
initially request things but once it has, it delivers them at my usual speed
(we pay for 8Mbit).
