I don't know if it can help but I've a similar bug which involves restarting
Rsyslog.
I use Ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64bits with Rsyslog 8.16-0-1ubuntu3 on two kind of
hardware:
- docker-machine
- AWS EC2

Updating the bios does not fix the problem on this T410. "IRQ 9: nobody
cared" messages are gone, but new messages are present on boot. USB
does not work after resume from suspend and at least one USB device is
not handled properly on boot. Pre-suspend dmesg is attached, will
attach a post-resum
Booting with noirqdebug removed the "[ 0.985197] irq 9: nobody cared
(try booting with the "irqpoll" option) ... [ 0.986557] Disabling IRQ
#9" messages from dmesg but did not solve the problem. Booting with
acpt=routeirq also did not solve the problem.

Ok, I have run glxinfo, here the output.
After running that, I thought that fglrxinfo could be interessting Froze
again. So I mad a restart, run fglrxinfo without problem (fglrx driver is
enabled). I thought that it would be interessting to see how fast glxgears is
running, froze again...
Now there is a error message comming, when I try to start the Desktop effects
(the ok, doesn't work, if I click the message come one more time but this is an
other bug...)
Cedega ist still producing a freeze. I have not try it with more application,
but I bet, that there are more which produce a

I tried to upgrade my new edgy (just installed) with the upgrade manager (with
the -c and -d option) to feisty. He tells me that I have to post some data in
/var/log/dist-upgrade/.
So I will do that. The files follow in the next message.

I think this was a problem with the fglx Packages from amd.
I am now running the newest Edgy, and I have no problem.

2# Restart
3# sudo update-alternatives --config usplash-artwork.so
Now I have when I shutdown the ubuntu artwork, when I start the

Same here, with 1280x800. I have changed the resolution in /etc/usplash.conf,
now the old test screen is my usplash-theme and it isn't fullscreen and without
text.
