The problem is related to PulseAudio. When I remove it, the sound is OK.
In volume control applet and paman, this problem looks like Flightgear
keeps disconnecting and reconnecting to sound server.

I have this problem after upgrading to Karmic. Layout switching is OK
(Latvian/Russian). Compose key is OK. However, 3rd level chooser
(Latvian accented characters like "ā" or "ļ" in my case) does not work
in Gtk applications other than gnome-terminal. Google Earth (which is
Qt-based) is OK too.

I believe that this bug should not be marked as 'Wishlist" because using
single NTP server is entirely unacceptable.
1) At least three NTP servers must be configured in ntp.conf to choose best of
them and detect single outlayer
2) Routing problems are possible

I had the same problem until today. X.org loaded nvidia glx module
instead of X.org. I've fixed this by removing everything related to
nvidia in synaptic.

I have installed 2.6.27-1 on the top of Ubuntu 8.04. Lost sound
immediately. PC speaker driver has priority over my "HDA Intel". I can
see both devices in mixer. Blacklisting snd_pcsp helps. I think that
snd_pcsp should be blacklisted by default.

Just installed Hardy Alpha 6 and noticed that fonts now look a bit blurry on my
laptop's screen as compared to Alpha 5.
Anti-aliasing is enabled and hinting style is full.

Just tried Tribe 5, the same story.
This week I'm going to try the latest kernel from git (2.6.23). I'll
post the results.

I tried to install Kubuntu tribe 4 but the system freezes at installation. The
last thing I see is the progress dialog saying
"Loading linux kernel". Then black screen showes up and system freezes.
I guess my buggy ITE8211F controller causes lockups. After I turned it

I'm running x86 Feisty on Pentium 4 HT with the latest updates. The latest
kernel 2.6.20-14.22 (found in dpkg.log) fails to boot on this machine.
The kernel freezes during boot process. 2.6.20-13 works fine.

I can confirm this on Kubuntu Feisty Beta (kpdf 0.5.6). I have an HP LaserJet
2200 at work and print pdf documents often.
What's wrong with the original non patched KPDF? This bug makes Kubuntu's KPDF
absolutely unusable :(
