The patch didn't change the output. I took a look at the sources:
libusb_get_report() returns libusb_strerror(ret, __func__) which returns 0 for
ret == -EOVERFLOW. Then in refresh_report_buffer(): r == 0 and the patch
doesn't work. The log message would be incorrect anyway because "r" is not the

Power failures and power returns are marked with "NOTE" in the logs.
I noticed that UPS.PowerSummary.RemainingCapacity came with input report
only once. The device didn't send it upon changes for some reason.

I've just tested it with the latest natty image (via TestDrive) and the bug is
still present. Martin, are you sure that you did everything like comment #4
says? Notice that you have to *select* the new theme after saving it. Steps 8-9
of the procedure say to change to Ambiance and then back to n
Option "revert button layout" is only showed when gconf key
"/apps/metacity/general/button_layout" is unset or it's value differs
from the button layouts of both new (selected) and previous themes. So
this happens if you have a custom value for this key or on upgrade.

I've compared index.theme from custom theme
(~/.themes//index.theme) with original Radiance index.theme
(/usr/share/themes/Radiance/index.theme). The original file has line
"ButtonLayout=close,minimize,maximize:" while custom doesn't. I suppose
gnome-appearanc
I can confirm that changing theme helps. Changed from Radiance to
Clearlooks: no lags when scrolling and much lower cpu usage.
