As I write an email I use File, Save as Draft (CTRL+S) from time to
time. But then the cursor goes at the top of the text. Instead it should

I have all my users into an OpenLDAP directory, which is only accessible
through LDAPS. The CA certificate is provided as a NFS export, so that I
do not have it to copy to each machine.
This works fine with NFSv3, but not with NFSv4, because the idmapper has
to known the user
The problem is still there. Nothing has changed. But in the meantime I
use the conduit EMemos instead of MemoFile. EMemos integrates with
evolution and works fine since Bug 64575 has been fixed.
I suggest to drop MemoFile.

Same problem here. I had to recreate the certificates. But not only for
openldap, I had to recreate my CA certificate. This means I had to
recreate all my server certificates. Not very nice.

In Dapper the 2 of 1 bug was fixed with an update from dapper-updates. But in
Feisty it is here again, eg. with GEdit, which still uses the old libgnomeprint
library.
If I print a file with the option Handout 2 pages on 1 under Layout, the
preview shows a normal output, that contains 1 page on 1

In the meantime the problem with e-d-s is fixed (gnome bug 363102) and works
fine with evolution 1.6 on my Ubuntu Dapper. But the memos and tasks still does
not works.
They does, if there are no records in evolution before the action starts. As I
can see in the file gnome-pilot-conduit-sync-abs.
No, this is not a dup of bug 64575. Bug 64575 is against the EMemo conduit from
evolution. There are only the categories wrong.
This bug is against the conduit MemoFile from the package gnome-pilot-conduits.

It was not reported initially from me, but I have reported one that was a
duplicate of this. And since then I have addes some comments.
There are two bugs in my eyes. One is the crash syncing the calendar, the other
ist the "not doing anything" in tasks and memos (copy from pilot fails message).
Sorry, I have clicked on "also needed fixing there" on top of this page.

I have try it out with my backported version of gnome-pilot 2.0.14. The
result is the same, even with PILOT_CHARSET set to CP1252. I assume,
there is no conversion in the memo code itself, as it is on the
Categories on Evolution (but only there, the body is correct, Launchpad
Bug 64575).

in the memos of evolution have wrong characters. Eg. a ? instead of a ä. I
assume that there is no conversion to UTF-8.

As I can see in Dapper Drake this problem does not occur. For me it is
fixed. I assume it has to do with the gstreamer pipeline. At the end
there is now a call of an ID3 V2 tag module.
