i think the recent upgrade changed the dependency of update-manager,
update-manager-core and update-notifier.
for me, i upgraded update-manager-core and it automatically removed
update-manager, ubuntu-desktop and update-notifier, so i dont have the notifier
now when i boot up or use apt-get upda
confirm this bug, just after i installed Nessus.
according to http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=556058,
remove /opt/nessus/lib from /etc/ld.so.conf and re-run ldconfig just solved the
problem

just remove the /usr/lib/libflashsupport.so solved my crashing problem
why do we need both the libflashsupport and flashplugin-nonfree anyway ??

after i moved the /usr/lib/libflashsupport.so, firefox didn't crash wathing
youtube so far, its a good news
but starting firefox from the console, i can still get the similar error as
before:

i changed the kernel to generic with SMP, but the problem remains

i have the same problem with up-to-date 8.04 beta
all modules are installed, i can see wlan0 using iwconfig, iwl3945 is loaded,
but no driver displaying in 'Hardware Drivers' menu, and i cant find any
wireless network

did u uninstall the old tilda completely?
try to delete ur old .tilda dir and run tilda again,
or try to keep ur whole system up-to-date using apt-get upgrade,
