Could you please attach the output of the following:
dpkg --list *gstreamer*|grep ^ii
Also, could you use gst-launch-0.10 (see 'man gst-launch-0.10' if this
is unclear) to get more verbose output from gstreame
perhaps this is a framebuffer problem. could you please tell us what
graphics hardware you're using? Please attach the output of "lspci -vv"
(without the quotes) using the website.
Also, the output of "cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf|grep Driver" (again without
the quotes).
Lastly, if you use CTRL+ALT+F1

I can't duplicate that here. When I try to install from the firefox
plugin finder, the install fails. Can you install flashplugin-nonfree
and see if you still get this crash?
