I'm at the point of wiping Ubuntu and reinstalling windows for the user who brought this bug to my attention. This is a show-stopper for her.
Bug #1 must not be very important. I really love Ubuntu, which is why this is incredibly painful. I wiped windows for this user more than six months ago and now she's going back.
