Ive just received a new Dell Inspiron 1525. The wired NIC is a Marvell 88E8040
PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller (rev 12).
Ubuntu 7.10 recognizes the card and loads the sky2 driver. I've no error in
dmesg or syslog, but the card cannot obtain an address from the network. Works

No problem.
I suppose this mention of "free of charge" is more in opposition to the
business model chosen by distros like Redhat, Mandriva, Xandros, etc. that
offer a free (as in beer) version, somewhat reduced in functionalities, and a
commercial complete version.
