What happens:
Clicking the the right button of my mouse shows the context menu but then
sometimes also acts as a left click.
Steps to reproduce:

I've run a few more tests.
with quiet=false splash=true I get screen corruption during "Configuring
X...". This is _not_ always reproducible.
with quiet=false splash=false, the system always went live correctly.
I also randomly get beeps at system startup and system crashes when I
try to restart
CD integrity test says: no errors. ISO md5sum is correct. All double-
checked.

I'm no more able to reproduce the error deterministically. This is very odd.
Now, each time I boot the (same) CD, I randomly get:
- screen corruption with crash
- screen corruption without crash
- beeps
- nothing (the system starts without errors)

The system is a Dell Dimension 5150 with an nvidia 8600gt and a second
sata hd added.
Steps to reproduce the bug:
1. I boot the system with the cd in
2. I choose the first option of the installer menu (run and install)
3. the orange progress bar starts going back and forth
