use autofs, and 'vers=1.0' so I can use unix extensions. The samba
server uses kerberos tickets for authentication.

In my kubuntu install Konsole has a menu and keyboard shortcut to create
bookmarks, but has no way to delete or edit them once created.
Manually installing keditbookmarks or kde-baseapps-bin adds an item to
the Bookmarks menu to edit. It's not immediately obvious to me which
I have tested with v2.6.36-rc3-maverick (linux-
image-2.6.36-020636rc3-generic_2.6.36-020636rc3.201008300905_amd64.deb),
and the problem still exists.

My system has /boot and grub installed on a USB flash drive. When I try
to upgrade the kernel, it fails; The boot partition is remounted as
read-only, and the device is reset, now using the ohci driver. If I
remount as read-write and attempt the upgrade again, the same thing

Building on Delbert's work, the following commands are what I had to do to get
this working. Basically I use an initramfs hook to make sure the firmware and
supporting files are included on the initrd image every time it's built (like
when you do a kernel upgrade). Then you just use update-initr
I was experiencing exactly the same problem.
Running grub-install by hand fixed it for me.

This was after doing a CTRL+ALT+BKSP.

I think that this actually has to do with the file dialog. I can save as
long as the document already exists. However, I get the same behavior in
Insert/Picture/From File. The dialog opens, but openoffice crashes.
