This method of using compiz settings manager itself is flawed. Since
there is a Unity UI Plugin why not convert it to run as preferences
setting in the System settings?

I suspect a problem in bluez being unable to retrieve or read the
pairing PIN code. This bug reported in
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-bugs/2011-11/msg00450.html
may be the cause.

After Inkscape window is maximized, one cannot access the top menu or
the window manager decoration. The program just slips under the top
pane on mouse click any where in the region. Also window resize is
restricted to the x axis.

The machine config is IBM Thinkpad R50e
This machine has an Intel 855 Video chip and the system is running Xorg-intel.
Also the on quit of application, the screen does not get redrawn
automatically.
The bug does not replicate when the Compiz based compositing is switched
off.
